Synopsis: Hasna and Meriem leave their home country, Morocco, for the first time, filled with hope and apprehension. They travel to southern Spain to work as seasonal laborers in strawberry greenhouses, seeking a better life for themselves and their families. But they are quickly confronted with the harsh reality of their situation. Together, they will have to stand up against an entire system of exploitation, at the risk of losing everything. 

Laïla Marrakchi

Laïla MARRAKCHI was born and raised in Casablanca, Morocco, and moved to Paris at age 18 to study film. Her first feature film, Marock (2005) was screened in the Un Certain Regard section of the Cannes Film Festival; depicting the lives of certain young people in Casablanca, this film has become a classic of Moroccan culture. His second film, Rock the Casbah (2013), featuring an exceptional cast, including Hiam Abbass, Nadine Labaki, Lubna Azabal, Morjana Alaoui, and Omar Sharif. Laïla also directed five episodes of the Bureau of Legends  two episodes of the series The Eddy (2020), directed by Damien Chazelle for Netflix, and she recently directed the historical series Lent for Apple, about the famous chef Antonin Carême.
