Kamal Lazraq

Born in Casablanca in 1984, Kamal graduated from the Fémis directing department in Paris in 2011.

His graduation short film Drari was an official selection at the Cannes Film Festival, and won the 2nd Cinéfondation prize and the Grand Prix for short films at the Entrevues festival in Belfort.

He directed the short film Moul Lkelb in 2013, which won numerous awards at international festivals.

His first feature film The packs, won the Prix du Jury Un Certain Regard at the Cannes Film Festival in 2023, and the Prix du Jury at the Marrakech International Film Festival the same year.
