Faouzi Bensaïdi

A theater director and actor, Faouzi Bensaïdi directed his first multi-award-winning short film in 1997, La Falaise. He then co-wrote Far away with André Téchiné. In 2000, he directed two short films: The Wall, presented at the Fortnight and Journeys, which won an award at the Venice Film Festival. His first feature film, A thousand months, received the Prix Le premier regard and De la jeunesse at Un Certain Regard. Next up: WWW - What a Wonderful World at the Venice Mostra, and Death for sale, Prix Art et Essai at the Berlinale. His latest film Deserts was presented in 2023 at the Quinzaine des Cinéastes in Cannes.
